Gyn&co;, a web platform answering all questions about women’s health
Gyn&co is an information site on women’s health that is aimed at all women throughout their lives. Each stage of a woman’s life brings its share of changes, questions and sometimes anxieties. Gyn&co addresses the themes of adolescence, menstruation, contraception, pregnancy, infertility, menopause, personal hygiene and gynecological diseases. An editorial team, proofread by specialists, ensures the objectivity and scientific veracity of the answers given.
The genesis of the project is based on a few observations:
- 1 in 2 Belgians obtain information about their health via the internet.
- 93% of general practitioners want better advance information for their patients so that they can interact better and facilitate communication.
- 80% of citizens think that the healthcare provider should suggest reliable sources of health information, in the same way that they issue a prescription.
Many studies show that there is a real lack of validated information on the internet in the health field. This is why Gyn&co hopes to be able, on the one hand, to offer a quality service allowing patients to find relevant information and, on the other hand, to support women’s health professionals through a communication medium in which they can collaborate.

Unlike health forums that are full of sometimes crazy information, the added value of Gyn&co should lie in the active participation of health professionals who will testify and validate all the information presented on the site. For the moment, 18 professionals have lent themselves to the Gyn&co game and have agreed to intervene on topics in which they excel.
